Ordering a staircase

  • Our ordering process is easy and only takes a few steps! Just email sales@p-ljoinery.co.uk or call 01782 775 512 to get started.

  • We do offer trade and bulk discounts so if you’d like to discuss your enquiry, please contact our sales team at sales@p-ljoinery.co.uk or keep an eye out for available discount codes/offers available.

  • Of course! We are able to visit to measure for your staircase at an additional cost. We will always design our staircases to your exact requirements for the perfect, personal touch. We’re also on hand for any queries you have involving ordering. We’re with you every step of the way!

  • We deliver anywhere in mainland UK. We can also cater for anything outside our usual area but there may be an additional postage cost.

  • Our aim is to make all of our stairs to comply with the current building regulations. However, we do understand that this is not always possible, such as in loft or bungalow conversions and we will make you aware of this before purchasing.

Design and finishing

  • We have a few different options for pre-painting. Our standard design comes with all visible stair parts primed in a white colour. Just ask our team about other options like our ‘natural’ appearance so you can finish products however you like.

  • Yes. We offer grooved handrails and baserails which can fit glass. Our standard size is 10mm but we are able to groove out more or less to suit your sizes. We also stock un-grooved for glass to be fitted using clamps.

  • This is dependent on what you would like to upgrade. You can separately upgrade the specification of what we call our “Second Fix”. This consists of handrails, baserails, spindles and newel caps. If you wanted to upgrade the parts on the staircase. This would be a slightly more difficult process where you would have to manually disassemble and reassemble the staircase to change the parts, such as newel posts. However, we can supply clad on newel kits. Just ask our team about your requirements and we can explore the possibilities.

  • We offer a variety of selection on our finishes ranging from an Oak Lacquer to Treatex Oil and our Pure White primed finish.

  • We can finish to any given colour or shade. All we require for this is the RAL Code! Perfectly personalized, just for you.

Delivery

  • As per our company policy, if your stairs have arrived damaged and you contact us within 7 days of delivery, we will replace or refund all damaged goods.

  • Yes, you can indeed collect your flight! We would recommend a minimum of a 3.5 Tonne van depending on the size of your staircase. Our average total length of a staircase is around 4.2 Meters.

  • You have the option for your staircase to come flat-packed. Alternatively, we assemble for you where practical. Your smaller staircase components (buttons, glue blocks, wedges and dowels etc) will all come in a box along with a copy of our drawing so you can see how the staircase should look. Your other items will all arrive boxed or wrapped to protect them from damage

    We have different options for our “Secondfix”. These can either be pre-assembled before delivery, or they can come flat-packed for yourselves.

  • We can offer a fitting service at an additional cost. This cost can vary depending on location as well as the time required to fit the flight.

  • The majority of our deliveries will be within 10 working days and this depends on the type of finish you require. However, our full staircases can vary and we can always aim to work within your schedule and requirements.
